Dr. Rohini Shantharam is an accomplished board-certified dermatologist located in Fresno, CA. She has an impressive educational background and extensive training. Initially from Fresno, she pursued her undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was recognized as the Student of the Year. Dr. Shantharam then attended medical school at the esteemed Medical College of Virginia and completed an internal medicine internship at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.

Her passion for dermatology led her to complete her specialized training at Northwell Health (Hofstra School of Medicine) in New York, where she excelled as chief resident of her training program and played an instrumental role in establishing the cosmetic clinic. Following this, she pursued a highly regarded fellowship in cosmetic and laser surgery to hone her expertise further.

During her early career, Dr. Shantharam practiced in Manhattan before relocating to Rhode Island, where she assumed the role of assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Brown University. Here, she found joy in educating and mentoring dermatology residents and medical students, leaving a lasting impact on future generations of dermatologists.

Dr. Shantharam’s dedication to continuous learning and professional development is evident through her scholarships from reputable organizations such as the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. These opportunities allowed her to collaborate and train with esteemed experts in cosmetic dermatology. Additionally, she has authored book chapters and presented at numerous local and national conferences, showcasing her commitment to advancing dermatological knowledge.

Dr. Shantharam is a Fresno native who graduated from Clovis West High School. She and her husband, Dr. Chris Glezos (an orthopedic surgeon), have two vivacious toddlers and enjoy being with family, traveling, running/exercising, and exploring food, art, and culture.
