Cheri began her medical career serving in the United States Army Medical Research Institution of Chemical Defense. During her time in the service, she received her undergraduate degree in chemistry, along with her Physician Assistant’s Degree.
Since 2013, upon completing her time in the service, Cheri began working exclusively in the field of Dermatology.
When we asked Cheri why she chose this field, she said because dermatology allows her to help people get better quickly, relieve their discomfort, and watch them regain confidence. “It’s very satisfying,” Cheri commented.
A transplant from Illinois, Cheri enjoys the sunshine of the Central Valley. In her free time, she loves to travel and scuba dive. Her favorite spot is the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. She also enjoys cooking, reading, trying new things, and spending time with her dogs.
When we asked Cheri what message she would like to send to patients, her comment was both wise and straightforward, “If you see something on your skin that concerns you, make an appointment. It’s better to get an expert opinion rather than have anxiety.”
