Your Prescription Medication

Your Prescription Is On Its Way!

When you finish an appointment at Valley Skin Institute and your medical provider prescribes medication, we send a fax through the computer to your pharmacy. We know you are eager to get your meds, but sometimes it takes time.

Here’s What You Need to Know

  • Prescription Sent Directly to Your Pharmacy

During your appointment, the medication is electronically faxed to the pharmacy on file with our office.

  • Give Your Pharmacy Time

Pharmacies may not check faxes until the end of their workday, so please wait for them to contact you before heading in.

  • How Long Should I Wait?

If you have not heard from your pharmacy within three days, please contact our Medical Assistant at our office so we can assist you. (559) 472-7546 ext. 1153.

  • Prior Authorization May Be Needed

If your medication requires approval from your insurance, it can take a couple of extra days.

  • Possible Savings on High-Cost Prescriptions

If the cost of your medication exceeds $60, we may be able to offer a better price through a compound pharmacy.
